There’s something effortlessly romantic about city weddings...

That perfect mix of modern design, beautiful details, and love that fills the space. Lilian and Michael’s wedding at The Refinery in Brisbane was all of that and more. Their day was stylish, relaxed, and filled with the kind of joy that radiates from two people who are truly made for each other.

These two first met on Bumble at the end of 2020 and finally decided to meet in person at the start of 2021, and they’ve never looked back. What started as a swipe turned into a story filled with shared adventures, weekend renovations, and plenty of laughter. When they’re not working on their ongoing home renovation project (a true labour of love!), Lilian and Michael love spending weekends outdoors walking, running, or catching up with loved ones. They’re the kind of couple who find joy in the simple things: board games with friends, day trips, and sharing meals together.

Michael’s proposal was every bit as thoughtful as he is. To celebrate their two-year anniversary, he planned a picnic at a lookout near Montville, a place that perfectly captures the charm and beauty of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Their first date was at a sushi train restaurant, so Michael brought that memory to life again with a miniature shinkansen train set, complete with nigiri. Each carriage carried a letter that spelled out “MARRY ME?”, a sweet, personal nod to the very beginning of their love story.

The Refinery was the perfect venue for Lilian and Michael’s celebration, romantic and intimate, with clean architectural lines softened by warm lighting and lush florals. It’s one of Brisbane’s most loved wedding venues for couples who want a contemporary space that still feels personal and inviting.

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the couple exchanged vows that were heartfelt and beautifully sincere. The atmosphere was relaxed but full of emotion, the kind of energy that makes photographing a wedding like this such a joy. From their first look to their laughter-filled reception, every moment felt authentic — a true reflection of who they are as a couple.

"I cannot say enough great things about Sam and her incredible team at The Infinity Collective! From start to finish, they were nothing short of professional, skilled, and an absolute joy to work with. They made the entire wedding planning process so smooth and stress-free. Sam’s attention to detail, creative vision, and calming presence truly made a difference on our big day.

One of the highlights was the same-day sneak peek photos and video – it was such a treat to relive our wedding moments almost immediately, and they captured everything beautifully. It was such a thoughtful touch that really made our day even more special.

I would absolutely recommend The Infinity Collective to all my friends and family. If you want a team that is talented, professional, and makes the experience so much fun, look no further! Thank you, Sam and team, for making our wedding memories so unforgettable!"
