When Tara and Luke first met for coffee at Roma Street, neither of them knew that a casual dog-watching session would turn into dinner… and eventually forever. Their love story is the kind that feels easy — full of shared laughs, quiet moments, and just the right amount of mischief.
These two spend their weekends exactly how they love it best: playing board games, getting up to a little harmless trouble, and diving into marathon video game sessions. So it’s no surprise that Luke’s proposal was just as fun and perfectly “them” — he popped the question just after the midnight fireworks on New Year’s Eve (while they were mid–Mario Party game!).
Their elopement at Walkabout Creek was intimate and romantic. It’s one of our favourite Brisbane wedding spots, and it suited Tara and Luke perfectly. Peaceful bushland, a gentle breeze through the trees, and a beautiful ceremony that felt completely their own.
Instead of a big traditional wedding, they chose to keep things intimate and full of joy.
It was such a privilege to capture every little smile, every laugh, and the way they looked at each other like no one else was in the room. Tara and Luke, thank you for letting us be part of such a special day — your love story is one we’ll never forget.
