We were so excited to be a part of Olivia and Cameron’s wedding day at Walkabout Creek. Having already photographed their engagement, we knew their wedding would be just as fun, full of love, and completely unforgettable.

The day began with getting-ready photos, where we captured those sweet, intimate moments as Olivia and her bridesmaids laughed and prepared together, and Cameron got ready. You could feel the excitement in the air!

The ceremony at Walkabout Creek was beautiful, surrounded by nature and filled with laughter and a few happy tears. Once they said “I do,” we had the best time taking photos of the newlyweds and their wedding party. The lush greenery of the venue made for the perfect backdrop, and Olivia and Cameron were so relaxed and in love.

As the sun set, the celebration continued with a lively reception, filled with heartfelt speeches and dancing. And the after-party? It was an absolute blast! Olivia and Cameron’s friends and family really know how to keep the energy going.

It was such an honour to capture these moments, and we can’t wait to see where life takes them next!

"Should I have an Engagement Photoshoot?"

If you’re wondering whether you should have an engagement photoshoot, we’re here to say absolutely, yes! Not only is it a great way to document this special time in your lives, but it’s also the perfect opportunity to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day.

Getting to Know Your Photographer

One of the best reasons to book an engagement session is to get familiar with your photographer. It’s a fun, relaxed way to build that connection and feel more comfortable before your wedding day. Plus, it gives your photographer the chance to learn how you interact as a couple, which will result in even better wedding photos. You'll also get to see how they work, which can ease any camera shyness you might have.

Capture Your Relationship in a Natural Setting

While wedding photos are all about the formalities and big moments, engagement photos are more about capturing your everyday love. Whether you choose to do your shoot at a favorite beach, park, or even just strolling around your neighborhood, these photos reflect the more personal, laid-back side of your relationship. Think of it as a chance to capture the real you.

It’s All About the Fun!

An engagement session is also just plain fun! You get to dress up (or down), maybe revisit your first date location, or even bring your pets along. There's so much flexibility with these shoots, and no pressure to perform. It's a chance to be yourselves, laugh together, and celebrate your love in a more casual setting.

Use the Photos Everywhere

And let’s not forget how versatile engagement photos are! You can use them for your save-the-dates, wedding website, social media announcements, or even decor at the wedding. They’re also a lovely keepsake for you to look back on in the years to come.

So if you’re thinking about skipping the engagement shoot—don’t! It’s a fun, relaxed way to capture this amazing chapter in your lives while giving you a little photo practice before the big day.
