Some love stories take time to unfold, and Maria and Tim’s is the perfect example. Though they grew up around each other as family friends, it wasn’t until 2020 that their paths truly crossed. A mutual friend invited them both on a hike, and what started as casual conversation on the trail quickly grew into something much deeper. By the end of that day, Tim knew he had to ask Maria out — and from that moment on, they’ve been inseparable.
Fast forward to a dreamy holiday in Santorini, where Tim pulled off the ultimate surprise. Even though they’d agreed to wait another year before getting engaged, he couldn’t resist the magic of Greece! With a photographer capturing their adventure through the streets of Fira, Tim dropped to one knee and asked Maria to marry him. The moment was pure romance, framed by whitewashed buildings, ocean views, and a promise of forever.
Maria and Tim are self-confessed homebodies who love nothing more than spending quiet weekends together — whether that means catching up with family, tackling chores, or simply enjoying a glass of wine over a game or a book. But when it came to celebrating their wedding day, they brought together all the people they love for something truly special.
Their ceremony took place at the Parish of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, a heartfelt setting that perfectly matched the sacredness of the occasion. Afterwards, guests gathered at Waters Edge Weddings & Events for a reception that was truly unforgettable.
Congratulations Maria and Tim!
